Martin joined Severn Trent Water in 1975 and has been involved in the design, construction and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution networks and sewerage systems over the last 32 years. He was appointed to his current position in May 2006 and prior to that was Director of Engineering.


Martin holds a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Institute of Water , a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. He is a Guarantor of the International Society for Trenchless Technology and is a Director of UKWIR. He is an active member of the Institute of Water Midlands Area and a former Area President.

Tony was appointed Managing Director of Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water in 1991. The company was the first in the sector to achieve Investors in People. Tony is an economist - he holds a BA Honours in Economics - and professional general manager by background. Before joining the water industry he held general management positions with Morgan Crucible, Gould Inc USA, Coates Brothers plc and Siebe plc.


Tony is a former National President of the Institute of Water (2003/04), a former South West Area President and was one of the first to be awarded the Chartered Environmentalist designation through them. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Water and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.

Lynn joined the Institute of Water as General Secretary in 1997, with 14 years experience as an accountant in the water industry. Lynn has a BA in Accountancy, is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, a Chartered Environmentalist and an Honorary Member of Institute of Water .


Lynn is a Founder Board Member and an Honorary Fellow of the Society for the Environment and is Secretary to the IWA UK Committee.

David joined Saint-Gobain PAM in 2001, initially as UK Sales Director. He was appointed to his current position in December 2005 to head up the technical, marketing and communications functions of Saint-Gobain PAM UK. Prior to joining Saint-Gobain PAM, he was Business Development Director at Johnson Pipes and had previously held senior positions at US Filter and Palintest.


David holds a BSc Honours in Chemistry, an MSc in Polymer technology and a PhD in Polymer Rheology. In 2004 he gained an MBA, and was awarded lifetime membership of the International Honors Society, Beta Gamma Sigma. He is the nominated contact within Saint-Gobain PAM for SBWWI, Institute of Water, Pipeline Industries Guild and UKSTT. David is the current Vice-Chair of SBWWI.


SECRETARY
Bob HodgeBob Hodge


Bob was introduced to the water industry in 1973 as an engineer with Milton Keynes Development Corporation following design and site experience with consulting engineers. After a brief spell with Anglian Water he moved to the National Water Council as Training Adviser in 1976. Seven years later, the abolition of the National Water Council led to the formation of the Water Industry Training Association, with Bob as Finance and Administration Manager. He was appointed Managing Director in 1990 and held this position until his retirement in 2005.


Bob has an Honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. He is an Honorary Member and a former National President (1998/99) of Institute of Water .
